The Structural Technology Laboratory is part of the Division of Structural Technology in the Department of Construction Engineering. It is situated in the School of Civil Engineering (E.T.S. Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos)  in the North Campus of the Technical University of Catalunya (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya).

Basically a research laboratory, it is used for experimental studies of the mechanical behavior of civil engineering materials, structural components and structures. A major part of the work is applied research with a strong emphasis on technology transfer to the construction industry. The research projects are funded by international and national agencies, as well as private enterprises.
